How Valuable is Your Time?
Instead of focusing on your tasks, you get overwhelmed and spend hours scrolling social media or watching mindless TV until suddenly, everything is piled up and you want to scream and you forget how to breathe...
I get it. I've been there. I have ADHD, a pretty severe case. I tend to get lost in the "void" and forget tasks even exist until it's too late. Self-care? Non existent. Appointments? If they're not written down, they don't exist. Tasks? They're tomorrow's problem... Until, they're not.
I have tried thousands, literally THOUSANDS of calendars, planner books, sticky notes... everything. You name it, I've tried it. And failed. And failed again. And again. To the point that it was exhausting and deflating.
Have no fear, help is here!!!
Not only am I going to give you access to the downloadable planner sheets I have become OBSESSED with, I'm also going to give you a few tips and tricks to help lighten your work load!
Remember all those thousands of planners I've tried? A few are still sitting on my bookshelf, unopened, just collecting dust and dog hair. I've decided to finally let them go. Instead, I'm opting for these AMAZING planner sheets from Live Happy Labels!! Also, be sure to check out their Insta for tips on filling them out, livestream updates, and so much more! I promise, you'll be happy you did!!
Piggybacking off of my new weekly and daily planner sheets (that help me stay SUPER organized), I have also implemented a new rule of thumb to help keep my home tidy. When making my weekly sheet, I set aside a 30-minute timeframe to clean one room of the house. It doesn't matter which room, and it doesn't matter if I finish it completely or not. 30 minutes. With a timer. Done. It's amazing what 30 minutes of cleaning a day can do! And I use a loud timer because my ADHD brain will not stop once I'm in the middle of a task unless I have a buzzer, siren, alarm, etc., prompting my brain to stop working on the task I'm doing and switch gears - which is another thing I love about the planner sheets. I get to sort my entire day, down to the half hour, and mark the task off once I'm done (self-rewarding and my brain likes the instant gratification).
My next tip is to clean what you see. This doesn't mean deep clean the grout in the kitchen that's supposed to be white but now looks more of a coffee color. This means wipe down any surface as you're walking past it, using it, or putting something away in the area. For example: I used my Keurig this morning and noticed there was coffee splatter on my top cabinet. While waiting for my cup of coffee, I wiped down the cabinet door. Boom. Done. House looks cleaner already and it took less than five minutes!
